Kinéactif and the Canadian Museum of Nature are pleased to announce our 2023 summer camp experience! Participants will chase natural treasures, awaken their curiosity and discover the natural environment around them.
The Canadian Museum of Nature is Canada’s national natural history museum located in downtown Ottawa. It is home to magnificent natural history collections brought to life through modern, interactive displays.
During Museum Explorers camp, children will explore the fascinating science related to fossils, mammals, minerals, birds, plate tectonics, our Arctic and more! A great place to learn about nature, climate change while having fun with the various activities offered by our specialized camp program. Camps are held in English and French.

Schedules & Procedure
Opening hours : 8am to 5pm.
- 8am to 9am arrival
- 9am to 4pm day camp
- 4 to 5 pm daycare
More details will follow by email in the following weeks.
Children will have two periods of specialized activities per day related to the chosen programs as well as two periods of natural science activities which may include an educational workshop or an visit to a section of the museum.

Why choose us?
Kinéactif is an accredited summer camp and we adhere to the standards of the Quebec Camp Association (Association des camps du Québec (ACQ)). Our camp is certified and inspected by the ACQ and we meet over 70 standards that establish requirements relating to safety, supervision, the environment and food.
This certification of our camp can therefore be seen as a mark of diligence, commitment and credibility, as well as a sign of the desire to stay up to date with the trends and practices in our sector of activity, and with the children’s needs and parents’ concerns.
- 5 to 6 years oldFor children from 5 to 6 years old: 10 children for one monitor.
- 7 to 8 years oldFor children from 7 to 8 years old: 12 children for one monitor
- 9 to 12 years oldFor children from 9 to 12 years old: 14 children for one monitor.
Be ready!
What to bring?
- Sunglasses (optional)
- Swimsuit and towel
- Cap or hat
- Rain jacket in case of rain
- Comfortable clothing suitable for the temperature and the activities
- Good shoes for walking and for sports activities…not crocs or sandals for playing games.
- Lunch and snacks. (Lunches are not refrigerated, we recommend placing an ice pack in your child’s lunch box.) Please note that all foods containing peanuts or tree nuts are prohibited in all camps.
- Water bottle
